Cash versus accrual reporting

Accrual counts income and expenses when they are earned or incurred; cash counts them when money moves. Valtrivo lets you choose and never mixes the two.

Last updated

  • Accrual: income is recorded when invoiced and expenses when billed.
  • Cash: income is recorded when paid and expenses when you pay them.

Choose the basis on Financial Performance. The Cash Flow statement is cash-based by definition. If totals differ from QuickBooks, check that the same basis and dates are selected in both.
