Troubleshooting failed audits
Audits fail when the site blocks automated testing, times out, redirects too many times, or the URL is not public.

Common causes and fixes:
- The URL is not public: password-protected, staging or local addresses cannot be tested. Use your live public URL.
- Firewall or bot protection: services that block automated traffic can block Google PageSpeed. Allow Google PageSpeed Insights or test a page without a challenge.
- Timeouts: very slow pages can exceed the test time limit. Try again later or test a lighter page.
- Redirect loops or invalid SSL: open the URL in a private browser window to check it loads cleanly over https.
- Daily limit reached: free audits are limited per visitor per day.
If the page loads normally in your browser but still fails repeatedly, submit a support request with the URL.
